Due to the latest evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming Energy Modelling platform for Asia and the Pacific (EMP-APAC) and the Summer School on Modelling Tools for Sustainable Development - OpTIMUS have been postponed.

Due to the latest evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming Energy Modelling platform for Asia and the Pacific (EMP-APAC) that was due to take place in Bangkok (Thailand) in May 11th-19th, 2020, has been postponed until further notice. The event is coordinated by UNDP, UNESCAP and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).

Also due to the CVOD-19 pandemic emergency, the annual Summer School on Modelling Tools for Sustainable Development - OpTIMUS  that was due to take place in Trieste (Italy) from June 15th till July 3rd, 2020, has been postponed to next year. The Summer School is organised by the OpTIMUS Community of Practices, and sponsored by the World Bank, UK Aid, IAEA, UNDESA, UNDP. UNECA, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Loughborough University, Imperial College London, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford and The Open University.

Both events feature 3-week intensive training courses in OSeMOSYS, ending with a 2-day high-level meeting, where trainees are encouraged to present their work and discuss their results with representatives of intergovernmental institutions and government ministries.
