Ideation Workshop – Towards a sustainable fashion industry

Published Sep 12, 2018

Join us for a hands-on Ideation Workshop where we will introduce you to useful tools to identify, validate, and develop business ideas from the perspective of creating sustainable change across the entire value chain of the fashion industry

Purchasing a t-shirt is the final act in an almost 50-step process that includes everything from harvesting the cotton, spinning the yarn, dyeing and packaging the fabric, transporting the garment (often across the globe), to displaying the final product online or in a store. After the t-shirt has been purchased and used, it also needs to be recycled. Engineers can create positive impact in every step on the way.

Impact in every step on the way

In practically all fields of study and research at KTH, from biotechnology and chemistry to computer science, knowledge and methods are created that can improve this process and accelerate the shift towards a sustainable fashion industry. This means changing the way garments are currently designed, produced, shipped, bought, used and recycled.
