The doors to the new meeting place for innovation and entrepreneurship at KTH are open! Here at Teknikringen 1, home to KTH Innovation, people from all over the world gather to create solutions to global challenges. Welcome in!

Since 2007, KTH Innovation has developed a world-class innovation support system. Now, we take it to the level, and open the doors to Teknikringen 1, the new meeting place for innovation and entrepreneurship at KTH. We officially moved in back in February 2020, but because of the pandemic the premises have mostly been locked since then.

The new meeting place for innovation at KTH is open!

- We will combine the best of the digital with the benefits of seeing each other physically, says Lisa Ericsson, Head of KTH Innovation and CEO of KTH Holding. It is often in the unexpected meetings that those truly exciting moments happen. New ideas come to life, teams are formed and people inspire each other to reach new heights. We have really missed that during the pandemic.

With innovation in focus

At Teknikringen 1, you enter an exciting and welcoming environment with innovation in focus. In the large and airy premises, there is plenty of space for those who want to develop an idea or create impact with their research to sit down and start working. Those who are interested in innovation but don’t have their own idea yet are equally welcome.

- Our vision is that the house will be a place where people from all over the world, different disciplines and society - researchers, students, alumni, investors, entrepreneurs, companies, partners and others - meet to take on the really big challenges, says Lisa Ericsson.

KTH at the forefront

Come to inspiring events, see exhibitions about innovations from KTH, read about some of the teams that participate in KTH Innovation's programs or find job opportunities in up-and-coming startups.

The teams in KTH Innovation's pre-incubator program also get access to a makerspace with a 3D printer and a fully equipped studio for video production. In addition, they get access to office space in our Innovation Studios, where they can develop their ideas side by side with others.

- Sweden is at the forefront of technological innovation in the world - and KTH is at the center of it. Now we also have the physical place that can be a hub - a surprising, creative and exciting environment that creates curiosity and encourages innovation and entrepreneurship.

Over 3000 ideas

Since the start in 2007, KTH Innovation has met over 3000 teams with new ideas, and interest in innovation at KTH is growing every year.

- Innovation is the solution to many of the problems we face today, says Lisa Ericsson. We will continue to develop our support so that even more solutions from KTH can come to use in society. A physical meeting place is an important tool in that work.
