Hi Maja Lidsheim Haak! You work as a project manager at KTH Innovation and are starting up a new online webcast series; KTH Innovation Talks. Tell us more!

What is KTH Innovation Talks?

- It is our new webcast, to which we invite interesting people, both from KTH and outside, to talk about exciting topics that relates to innovation and entrepreneurship.

- We will start with four talks during the spring, launched on the last Wednesday of every month, starting February. You will be able to choose whether you want to watch it, or just listen in, so you can take part whenever it suits you! We hope to continue with the series after this spring and that we will be able to arrange them in our new house so you can join us there.

Why did you start the series?

- One year ago, we moved into Teknikringen 1, our new premises at KTH Campus. We wanted to create an exciting meeting place, vibrating with energy and loads of fun and interesting activities; lectures, conversations, exhibitions, events and meetings across all kinds of borders. Of course, this year has forced us to invent new ways to do this, as the house is closed. This is one of those ways. However, even once we start getting back to a more normal state of affairs, we know that digitalization will be so well established, that we will do hybrid events where everyone can take part online.

What will the talks be about?

We will be twisting and turning topics that relate to entrepreneurship and innovation from different aspects. In one episode, we will talk about the entrepreneur- what do they have in common and what is it that makes them succeed with their visions? Other talks will be about the interface between the business world and innovators or about sustainability in early startups. Keep an eye out for updates in our channels!

When is the first episode and what is it about?

- We will launch the first episode straight into space! There are so many exciting things going on in the space innovation industry- we see huge private entrepreneurs driving visionary ventures and at the same time tech development enables small players to join in this ongoing second space race. But what are the opportunities and challenges? What is the market? What are the investment horizons we are facing? These are some of the questions we will dive into with astronaut Christer Fuglesang, space designer Cecilia Hertz and Matija Milenovic, Victor Gonzalez, and Muhammad Siddiqui from porkchop - a KTH startup that will be launching their product into space later this year.

We will launch on Wednesday February 24th, at 12 pm, but you can listen to it whenever it suits you after that.

How will you be able to view the webcasts?

They will be posted on LinkedIn and Facebook at 12 pm every last Wednesday of the month, but you will also find them on our YouTube-channel  after that, so you can watch and listen when it suits you.

Who should be watching?

We will talk about topics suitable for anyone who has an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship; especially if you are interested in what comes out of KTH. In every episode, there will be something for the investor, for talents, for those who want to keep in touch with KTH Innovation and for those eager to hear more perspectives on innovation and entrepreneurship.
