Record number of applications to KTH Innovation Launch – here are KTH’s 18 new startups

Published Jan 20, 2026

KTH alumni are behind several of Stockholm’s fastest-growing tech startups in recent years. Now, KTH Innovation is welcoming 18 new startups into its Launch Program.

KTH Innovation Launch selects a group of especially promising startups from the more than 400 teams that are developed within KTH Innovation every year. Alumni of the program include companies such as SuperAnnotate, Greenely, and Tenfast—one of Lovable founder Fabian Hedin’s earlier ventures.

Altogether, startups that have gone through the program have raised more than SEK 2 billion in external funding. Last fall, AI startup Hedda raised SEK 15 million in a funding round backed by Inception Fund, Antler, and Wave Ventures halfway through the program.

According to Inception Fund partner Oliver Molander, startups founded at KTH show up again and again in the deal flow.

“KTH produces truly world-class startups. Technical founders from KTH are competing globally from day one, especially in AI. A large share of the companies we’ve invested in have roots at KTH, and the momentum in the KTH ecosystem just keeps building,” he says.

Strong tech and clear international business potential

The teams were selected after a record-breaking year at KTH Innovation, with more new ideas, more startups launched, and more capital raised than ever before. Several of the new teams are targeting global markets in energy, industry, and life sciences, areas where European companies are currently racing to gain an edge over the US and China.

“We saw huge interest in the program. This spring’s Launch cohort brings in teams with strong tech at the core and clear international business potential,” says Lisa Ericsson, Head of KTH Innovation and CEO of KTH Ventures.

Access to the KTH Innovation hub

Participants get access to Teknikringen 1, KTH’s Innovation hub on campus, hands-on mentorship from experienced founders, connections to industry partners like Nvidia, and opportunities for pilot projects and international collaborations across Europe, the US, and Asia.

One of the alumni is Sara Nozkova, founder of Flox Intelligence, which has developed a system to keep wild animals away from roads, railways, and airports. The company already works with customers in infrastructure and transport, and earlier this year expanded to the US, which it sees as a key growth market.

“For us, KTH Innovation Launch was key in moving from a tech project to a company that could attract international investors. The mix of a strong technical environment, business support, and a solid network gave us a real head start,” says Sara Nozkova.

More about the teams and founders

KTH Innovation Launch

KTH Innovation Launch is a program for promising startup projects from KTH. We welcome new teams into the program twice a year. Around 10% of all ideas that KTH Innovation supports join this program.

In addition to business development support from KTH Innovation, the teams in the program get access to offices and meeting rooms in KTH Innovation's premises at Teknikringen 1. Every week, they meet over lunch and take part in a tailor-made workshop program.

They also get access to our makerspace and production studio. Together with the program's over 350 alumni projects, they form a supportive community, growing and developing together.

Participants in the program also get an opportunity to get an experienced mentor via KTH Innovation's mentor program.
