Hi Mattias Bergström! You're a student at KTH and have also co-founded Studyguide with the mission to help parents become great study coaches for their kids. Tell us about it!

About Studyguide

First meeting with KTH Innovation: November 2018

Coach: Hannes Eder Öhrström

First of all: what does StudyGuide do?

Studyguide helps students study for exams using research-based techniques, at the same time as helping their parents become world-class study coaches. So far, we have over 1000 signups and three out of four student who have tried Studyguide have raised their grades!

Why do you focus on coaching?

My teammate Rasmus Sanne has experience from coaching teenagers in the national basketball team. By thinking like a coach, parents can increase their teenagers’ motivation and give them the best possible conditions to succeed. That way, teenagers can get the support they need without the parents having to pay for an expensive tutor.

You joined Batch 9 of the KTH Innovation pre-incubator program in March last year, and you have been working hard since then. We have probably seen you at the office every day since. Can you describe the program in three words?

Fun, exciting & challenging

What’s your plan for 2021?

Receive investment, scale the team and launch in the Nordics.

Hannes Eder Öhrström, you've been Studyguide´s coach for the past months. What do you think?

The Studyguide team comes from a super interesting background. Their experience as elite level sports coaches, combined with their deep understanding of study technique has let them create a platform that can really make a difference. The fact that they don't just focus on helping teenagers to stay motivated, but also support parents in helping their children is of course something that has become even more important during these trying times.

The KTH Innovation pre-incubator program

In the KTH Innovation pre-incubator program, early-stage startup projects get extra support and office space, all together with others developing their own ideas. These are the teams that have completed Batch 9 of the program.
