Bruised Food Club’s market events are community-driven, donation-based food markets aimed at reducing food waste and increasing access to good food. Surplus food, collected from local suppliers such as supermarkets and restaurants, is redistributed to visitors, who can take what they need and pay what they can.
Held regularly in Uppsala, these markets create a space where sustainability meets community. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own bags and containers, contribute fairly, and engage in a shared effort to make better use of resources.
Beyond food distribution, the events highlight a broader mission: raising awareness about food waste, promoting sustainable consumption, and fostering collaboration between individuals, organizations, and the local community.
