This event will consider how AI can help us better understand and respond to urgent societal challenges.

For in-person attendees, a light lunch will be served from 11:45-12:10. Introductions and presentations will start at 12:10.

The programme includes two presentations:

  • Katharina Anna Bossoni Frey from Zurich will present the International Computation and AI Network (ICAIN) Initiative, a joint project with ETH Zurich, EPFL, and several international partners to broaden access to AI research and development

  • Ingrid Campo-Ruiz and Emma Riese will share their preliminary research on using machine learning to visualize and identify patterns between climate change and poverty

Location: KTH Climate Action Centre, Teknikringen 43, 114 28, Stockholm.

Please note that this seminar will be recorded and livestreamed in open access via Zoom and YouTube, and the recording may remain available online afterward. Attendees may appear in the recording.
