About
Life cycle assessment (LCA) is an important tool in environmental systems analysis used for assessing the environmental impact of products, services or processes in a life cycle perspective (i.e. from cradle to grave). KTH has a strong competence on LCA, by a significant number of researchers that use and develop LCA in their research projects. Furthermore life cycle thinking is applied broader than that and influences research and implementation in many fields at KTH and in society when KTH research results are applied.
Diversity and multitude in application areas and methodological developments within different units at KTH has lead to the creation of this network. The upstart of the network is financed by KTH-Sustainability and coordinated by the division of Environmental Strategies Research – fms at the School of Architecture and the Built Environment. Our aim is to increase cooperation and interactions internally at KTH and also externally with industry, policy makers, society as well as other research institutions.
