THE Innovation and Impact Summit 2022
KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Times Higher Education will host the Innovation & Impact Summit 26-28 April 2022 in Stockholm.
THE Innovation and Impact Summit, initiated by Times Higher Education Summit will explore questions about how research universities can create a positive environment for innovation, how diversity and independence can be protected in a globalised world where technical standards are defined by a relatively small number of companies and how higher education can support the success of innovation-based companies originating from Sweden and northern Europe.
The conference will be attended by international university leaders, innovators, investors, research directors and policymakers.
Times Higher Education (THE) works with analysis and insight on higher education and provides global coverage on news and issues within the field. They create university rankings that are regarded as one of the most widely observed university rankings. This includes, among others, the Impact Rankings that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The 2021 Impact Rankings included 1,117 universities from 94 countries/regions. KTH ranked 41, an improvement from last years’ 77 which is largely due to KTH’s work on sustainable development, according to Stefan Östlund, Vice President for Global Relations and Project Leader for THE Innovation and Impact Summit 2022.
An interview (in Swedish) about the ranking with Stefan Östlund can be found here .
The 2022 Impact Rankings will be presented at the Summit in Stockholm.
