Robert Langer: Creating and implementing breakthrough technologies

On May 15th, 12.00-13,30, KTH Innovation welcomes you to a lunch seminar with Dr. Robert Langer, David H. Koch Institute Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a true pioneer in research and commercialization.

Langer has over 1300 issued and pending patents worldwide, has published close to 1500 articles, started over 30 spin-off companies, and is currently tied for the fourth place of the most cited people in history in any field. It is estimated that his work has impacted over two billion lives.

Following Langer's presentation, Lisa Ericsson, Head of KTH Innovation, will open up for a fireside chat. Three KTH researchers; Ann-Christine Albertsson, KTH Professor Emerita in Fibre and Polymer Technology, Sophia Hober, KTH Professor of Molecular Biotechnology, and Niclas Roxhed, KTH Associate Professor in Micro and Nano Systems Technology, will reflect on Langer’s presentation and how research commercialization can be a tool to achieve academic excellence and impact.
