Impact and engagement with society

KTH has extensive and positive experience in cooperating with companies, research institutes, authorities, municipalities and county councils. We also work on evaluating the financial and social benefits of our research. Currently, a common system of guidelines and measurements is being developed, both within KTH and on a national level.

REF 2014 results: table of excellence

Storbritannien har precis tagit fram ett nytt systemet för att bedöma kvaliteten på forskningen i Storbritannien lärosäten, Research Excellence Framework (REF). Resultatet från REF 2014 publicerades i december. Times Higher Education har skrivit en artikel om hur utfallet blev.

Panel says benefits of research must be told better

KTH should invest resources in more far-reaching information about the wider public value of its research activities. That is the opinion of a working group led by the former Dean of Faculty, Professor Folke Snickars.
