Sweden's consumption-based emissions are calculated on a regular basis as part of national statistics, and are used in different situations by governmental agencies, companies and local authorities. The current method was developed in an earlier project and uses data from the Swedish System for Environmental and Economic Accounts and an international Multi-Regional Input-Output (MRIO) model. The aim of this project is to develop the data and methods used to better represent different types of food, impacts associated with aviation and biofuels. The improved methods and data will then be tested in different policy-relevant future scenarios.
