Xi Pang is a PhD student in the , at the , KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Her paper on “Trade-offs and Synergies Among Ecosystem Services and Biodiversity Under Different Forest Management Scenarios – Case Study of a Forest Landscape in Southern Sweden” was "technically among the best papers submitted" (internal reviewer). Xi spent her summer in IIASA's Ecosystems Services and Management Program (ESM).

For her paper and work on this project, Xi Pang was granted a . The Awards are given annually for outstanding work by participants in IIASA's Young Scientists Summer Program. They provide financial support for the winners to return to IIASA for an additional three month period of research.
