SPEAK conference: Sustainable planning and environmental assessment

Welcome to the SPEAK conference!

Venue: WSP headquarters, Stockholm

The overall aim of the SPEAK project is to generate knowledge about effective spatial planning for sustainable development and thereby strengthen spatial planning as a relevant and comprehensive means of attaining the national environmental quality objectives. Among the conference themes:

  • Strategic environmental assessment (SEA) and planning in an interantional context
  • Power dynamics in spatial planning and impact assessment processes
  • In search for sustainable development in spatial planning
  • Good practice SEA
  • Incentives for improving SEA practice and quality
  • Looking outside looking ahead - the future role of SEA
