Gender equality, diversity and equal opportunities

Gender mainstreaming of KTH – JIKTH – is a response to the assignment from the government to “universities to prepare a plan for how the university intends to develop the work on gender mainstreaming with the aim that the activities shall contribute to achieving the equality policy objectives”. The plan shall contain development needs, goals and activities that the university intends to undertake and shall be implemented in 2017-2019.

From Development plan 2018-2023

"In order for KTH to continue to develop as a leading technical university, the very best students and staff will be required. Diversity is an asset and KTH must be perceived as an open and welcoming place for prominent individuals, irrespective of their gender, transgender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation or age."
