Two or more degrees

General

If a student with one combination of courses fulfills the conditions for both a professional degree and a general degree, the degree desired by the student will be issued. If the student applies for both a professional and a general degree, one degree certificate for each degree will be issued.

Two ore more degrees, conditions

Two or more degrees of Masters of Science in Engineering may be issued only if all degree requirements for each educational programme (engineering field) are fulfilled and separate degree projects have been carried out. Courses included must differ by at least 90 credits in the concluding parts of the programme (including a 30-credit degree project).

Two or more degrees of Bachelor of Science in Engineering may be issued only if all degree requirements for each educational programme (engineering field) are fulfilled and separate degree projects have been carried out. Courses included must differ by at least 60 credits in the concluding parts of the programme (including a 15-credit degree project).

Two or more degrees of Master of Science (120 credits) may be issued only if all degree requirements for each educational programme are fulfilled and separate degree projects have been carried out. Courses included must differ by at least
90 credits in the concluding parts of the programme (including a 30-credit degree project). In cases where a master’s degree is not based on studies within an educational programme, courses included must differ by at least 90 credits (including a 30-credit degree project).

Two or more degrees of Master of Science (60 credits) may be issued only if all degree requirements for each educational programme are fulfilled and separate degree projects have been carried out. Courses included must differ by at least
45 credits (including a 15-credit degree project). In cases where a master’s degree is not based on studies within an educational programme, courses included must differ by at least 45 credits (including a 15-credit degree project).

Two or more degrees of Bachelor may be issued only if all degree requirements for each educational programme are fulfilled and separate degree projects have been carried out. Courses included must differ by at least 60 credits (including a 15-credit degree project). In cases where a bachelor’s degree is not based on studies within an educational programme leading to a Bachelor’s degree, courses included must differ by at least 60 credits (including a 15-credit degree project).

Two or more Higher Education Diplomas may be issued only if all requirements for each educational programme are fulfilled and separate diploma projects have been carried out. Courses included must differ by at least 40 credits (including diploma project). In cases where a University Diploma is not based on studies within an educational programme, courses included must differ by at least 40 credits (including degree project).

Overlapping

Courses which show a considerable degree of overlapping with one or more other courses may not be counted simultaneously within the framework of the same degree.
