France: École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier

ENSCM is a Grande École located in the historic university city of Montpellier in southern France, right next to the Mediterranean. ENSCM is very small with about 400 students and highly specialized in chemistry as it ranks number 2 in chemistry in all of France, right after ENSCP (belonging to the same organizational structure but is located in Paris).

Note: Think about the language requirement. ENSCM offer exchange students a French intensive language course in the beginning of the fall semester each year. This is a great opportunity to level up your French language skills before the start of the semester. Courses are made up out of of bigger modules, divided in smaller parts for each module. It is usually not possible to choose smaller courses within different modules and mix. It is important to look up the courses per semester before deciding on your semester at ENSCM. Since the course offering per semester can vary somewhat.
