Canada: McMaster University
McMaster University is a public research university located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, 70km south of Toronto. The university ranked 4th among Canadian universities and 94th in the world according to the 2015-2016 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The campus is situated near the corner of Lake Ontario, surrounding part of the campus with a nature reservation which is a strong contrast to metropolitan life with Toronto being a 45 minute car ride away. The University is well known for the McMaster Model, the university's policy for a student-centered, problem-based, interdisciplinary approach to learning, a policy which has been adopted by several other universities around the world.
