Regulations regarding advancement to the next academic year

Regulations regarding students admitted before autumn semester 2018. To advance to the next level (year) in your programme, there are certain regulations which must be adhered to.

You must have completed a certain number of credits each academic year to be able to move up to the next level. These are KTH’s general requirements, but some exceptions may be made. Please check with your programme coordinator.

A follow-up of all students is carried out prior to advancement to a higher year. If the requirements are not met, the student counsellor, or someone else responsible for the programme, will contact you for a meeting whereby an individual study plan will be prepared for the following term. The primary objectives are to complete the remaining aspects of the course/education and any appropriate courses for the following academic year. If, before the end of the year, you already know that you will not be able to manage the advancement requirements, you are more than welcome to contact your student counsellor to formulate an individual study plan in good time before the next academic year.
