Study counselling for programme students

All students at KTH have the right to get qualified study counselling during their studies. The aim of study counselling is to provide you with support and advice, in order to make your study period as successful as possible, on a personal as well as an academic level.

All study counsellors at KTH are bound by a pledge of confidentiality in accordance with chapter 7, section 9 of the Secrecy Act, and will under no circumstance disclose information about a student's personal circumstances to a third party without the student's explicit consent.

Who do you contact?

As a programme student, you should primarily turn to the study counsellor or master coordinator for your specific programme. They can provide you with information on issues that regard your programme, such as rules concerning eligibility for advancing onto a higher term, dispensation, leave of studies, resumption of studies etc. He/she can also help you with the planning of your future studies, study techniques, or other issues that regards your studies.

If you for some reason want to discuss your study situation with a person who is not connected to your programme, you are welcome to contact the central study counsellors. Find contact details below.
