KTH provides a number of services to international students such as arrival and introduction activities, information about banking options, insurance, the Swedish health care system as well as other practical matters essential to help students settle in their new study destination.

Arrival services and introduction activities
Arrival services and introduction activities are organized for all new international students at KTH. The introduction activities aim to help new students settled in Stockholm/Sweden and to help you find your way around at KTH and campus. The introduction programme is also filled with social activities, information meetings and a formal welcome reception.
Information about being new in Sweden
The Information and Service group provide support on a number of topics related to being new in Swedish society, for example:
- Residence permit
- Extension of residence permit
- Swedish personal identity number
- Banking options
- Health and dental care

General study counselling
Students who are enrolled in a programme at KTH should firstly turn to their programme for help with counselling on study related matters. Central study advisors can however provide support if students, for different reasons, would like to talk to someone who is not connected to their programme.
