Accommodation for new students

Stockholm offers a range of housing opportunities, and the vast public transportation system makes it possible to study in one part of Stockholm and live in another. Unfortunately, KTH can not provide accommodation for all students coming to Stockholm, but we try to assist as many students as possible.

KTH's virtual campus tour

Celine, Andrés and Elina gives you an introduction into the accommodation in Stockholm. In the virtual tour he and some other students will guide you around the campuses.

Accommodation for fee-paying students

KTH guarantees accommodation for up to 11 months for students paying tuition fees for a full bachelor's or master's programme at KTH, including those holding a scholarship covering the tuition fee. Students in the joint master's programmes provided by EIT Digital, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Urban Mobility or Nordic Five Tech, and the programmes Molecular Techniques in Life Science, COSSE, SECCLO and DENSYS, are also guaranteed housing for 11 months.

You apply for accommodation after you have been admitted to KTH and paid your first tuition fee instalment. The accommodation is located around Stockholm within commuting distance of all campuses and consists of both single rooms and studio apartments. KTH's accommodation services provide all the information you need about different kinds of accommodation, locations and rents .

Accommodation for students who don't pay fees

Students who are not paying tuition fees are not guaranteed accommodation through KTH. We recommend you register in the relevant housing queues and start looking for housing on your own. KTH's accommodation services provide tips on how you can find housing

Accommodation for exchange students

KTH try to assist exchange students in finding housing during their studies; however, due to a difficult housing situation in Stockholm, we can only help some students. When you apply for exchange studies at KTH, tick the box indicating that you want assistance finding accommodation, and we will get back to you. We recommend you also try and find housing on your own. KTH's accommodation services provide tips on how you can find housing
