What made you choose KTH?

I knew very little about KTH or Sweden before I had my exchange study at KTH in my last year of my bachelor’s studies. KTH, as well as the school of Architecture and Built Environment, welcomed me so warmly with a variety of activities that made me feel at home and feel happy. The education at KTH puts much emphasis on collaboration, which is fascinating to me. In addition, Stockholm is a growing capital offers many working opportunities for engineers. Therefore, after my initial 6-month stay, I decided to come back for the master’s programme.

What do you like most about KTH?

Besides the state-of-the-art teaching facilities and the solid quality of education, KTH impressed me most with its helpful and warm-hearted student services. Everyone working at KTH is always ready to listen to the students’ problems and try their best to solve the problems with efficiency and, of course, a smiling face.

What are your impressions of Stockholm and Sweden?

Stockholm is a lovely city, and Sweden is an amazing country. Living in Stockholm, I found this city to be an actively growing capital of Scandinavia. Extremely highly civilized as it is, Stockholm is a safe and equal place to live no matter where you are from. Do not worry about the cold and dark Swedish winter because it offers you with productive study time and it promises you a beautiful summer to come.

What is your best memory from your time at KTH so far?

My best memory from KTH so far is when I first arrived here; I was welcomed by so many different activities offered by KTH, including an outstanding international welcome reception held in the City Hall. Those are memories I will never forget.

Are there any differences between studying at KTH and your home university?

Here at KTH, collaboration is so important that most of my courses have some form of group work. This is the most significant difference between KTH and my home university (Southeast University). And the courses at KTH usually include different forms of classes, including lectures, workshops, exercises, labs, and even field visits. In any form of class, students have opportunities to discuss things with the teachers, which is a great benefit.

What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for master’s studies?

KTH is a place full of opportunities – for academics, for working, for activities, and last but not least, for having unforgettable memories.

What do you see as the most significant aspects of your programme?

For the master’s thesis, we can choose either to work with professors or to work with a company. This is a great linkage between school and industry, and it gives students with different career plans a chance to choose and move a step further before graduation.

Are you taking part in any student activities?

I took part in the KTH call-up week in April 2018. By contacting the admitted students, I helped them with their questions. It is always a good feeling to help other people in solving problems.

Do you have a dream job after graduating from KTH?

I hope to work for a consulting company in Sweden as a civil engineer after graduating from KTH.
