Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

KTH is a brand in itself. Its high reputation in education and continuously staying in the world rankings, particularly in the top 100 universities in the world, undoubtedly means that many students will choose KTH.

Stockholm is the capital and the largest city in Sweden. It is a very safe and peaceful city. I love the nature, people and culture of Stockholm. There are many multinational companies in Sweden, and it has one of the highest standards of living in the world. Stockholm was awarded a Green City status in 2010. Sweden’s education system is in the top 10 ranking in the world. I love Sweden’s diversity in which around 14% of the population comes from abroad. Moreover, Sweden is recognised as a peaceful nation.

What are the best aspects of your programme?

As I am studying software engineering, I will work on many practical, job market-orientated projects that will help me in my future career.

Have you chosen a specialisation track within the programme? If Yes, which track and why?

Yes, both the Software and Data Scientist track, because a combination of both tracks can provide balanced knowledge in the huge software industry.

What are your favourite courses thus far?

Distributed courses, DevOps, Artificial Intelligence

How is student life in Stockholm?

I have been living in Stockholm for a long time in peace and harmony, I enjoy unique experiences and I am growing more each day. As a student, you have so many opportunities when you live in Stockholm, for example, enjoying city views, visiting museums, parks, sports facilities and cinemas.

How would you describe your time at KTH so far?

I have many good memories from KTH. I spend most of my time on my studies.

I also participated in the THS programme where I met many new students. I enjoy kayaking with my friends at the beginning of the semester in the summer. I have made new friends, teachers and TAs, and have been introduced to many companies at the KTH job fairs.

What do you want to do after graduating?

I would like to join a multinational company such as Microsoft, Google, Ericsson, etc. In the future, I will continue my work experience in the software industry at a higher level.

What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for their master’s studies?

I would say that KTH offers a very high standard of education. There are so many options to learn through lectures, exercises, labs, projects and exams. I would suggest that all future students join a KTH master’s programme because this will be the best way to invest time and money in your future career.
