Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

I was always interested in studying aspects of sustainability in manufacturing and production environments. KTH became a natural option for me because of the ample opportunities and research it offered in my field of interest. Furthermore, the cooperation with industries offered in the Master’s Programme for Sustainable Production Development was an added benefit.

What are the best aspects of your programme?

As previously mentioned, the connection with industry in the programme is a great benefit. I have been given the opportunity to go on industrial visits that are highly educational, carry out projects in collaboration with companies such as Scania and AstraZeneca and receive insightful guidance not only from the course staff but also from leading industry experts.

Have you chosen a specialisation track within the programme? If Yes, which track and why?

The Sustainable Production Development programme does not offer different tracks but is quite streamlined and specialised itself.

What are your favourite courses thus far?

Sustainable Development in Industry (ML2304) was a very interesting course as it offered insights into the sustainability practices and standards followed by different industries. The assignments and the guest lectures in the courses were very intriguing.

Apart from this, the courses in Production Management and Development (ML2301), Industrial Analytics for Advanced Manufacturing (ML2306) and Production Logistics and Supply Chain (ML2305) were also excellent.

How do studies at KTH differ from your previous studies?

The fact that the faculty is very approachable to students makes KTH stand out from my college back home in India. The atmosphere is very friendly and the pattern of study at KTH also provides the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real industrial projects.

How is student life in Stockholm?

Stockholm has been a great home to me for the time I’ve been here. Although it took me some time to get used to the erratic sunlight in the winter, the beauty and elegance of the city quickly captured my attention. I have made some wonderful friends here who have made my life amazing.

How would you describe your time at KTH so far?

KTH has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience so far. The coursework has been challenging and very insightful.

What do you want to do after graduating?

I aim to expand my knowledge and experience in production operations, logistics and supply chain management with a company in Europe.

What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for their master’s studies?

KTH is a great institute and will give you wonderful opportunities to pursue your course studies in the most optimal way. I wish you all the best for your prospective studies here at KTH!
