Partnerships for joint programmes and scholarships

KTH has established partnerships and collaborative agreements with other universities and organisations in terms of joint programmes and scholarship cooperation. The conditions and application procedures for positions within these collaborations differ from those of KTH. Please note that scholarships are only offered by external organisations, KTH does not offer any scholarships for PhD studies.

Joint programmes

Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate Programmes (EMJD)

The EMJD programmes are offered in cooperation with partner universities and include compulsory mobility, which means that students study in at least two European countries. Students will graduate with a joint or a double degree. Erasmus Mundus is an EU-programme that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to attract the best students worldwide. KTH participates in the following EMJD programmes, which are still open for applicants:

Joint doctoral programme in medical technology

KTH and the  Karolinska Institutet (KI) offer a doctoral programme in medical technology that leads to a joint doctoral degree. Students admitted to this programme have either KI or KTH as their home university but work with supervisors from both universities. Available positions within the programme will be announced among the "vacant positions" at both universities.

Doctoral programme with the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design

KTH has a doctoral programme with the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack), leading to a degree from KTH. Available positions are announced among the "vacant positions" at KTH.
