Study offer for Ukrainian university students
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, we have worked on ways to open KTH for university students that have fled. Unfortunately, the application deadline for all applicants to programmes starting in autumn 2022 has passed. At this moment, it is not possible to transfer ongoing university studies to a programme at KTH. We are however looking into ways of accepting students into specific courses. Temporary residence permit in Sweden
If you have left Ukraine on 24 February 2022 or later, you can seek protection and residence under the EU Temporary Protection Directive and receive a temporary residence permit in Sweden. With a residence permit, you can apply for and study in Sweden without paying tuition fees. If you are not covered by the EU Temporary Protection Directive, you need to apply for and be admitted to studies first and then apply for a residence permit for studies based on that admission. In that case, you also need to pay tuition fees.
We offer one bachelor's programme in English, the bachelor's programme in Information and Communication Technology . The application closed 19 April and if you applied for the programme you will receive your admissions result to your UniversityAdmissions.se account 12 July. The application for studies in 2023 opens in October. Applying in the official application round is the only way of being admitted to the programme.
Language tests in Stockholm
Most applicants from Ukraine must demonstrate their English proficiency with an internationally recognised test to be eligible for the programme. If you applied for the programme this year your have until 21 June to submit your application documents to prove your English proficiency. Both IELTS and TOEFL provide test opportunities in Stockholm and online from 23 April and forward. Test results should arrive in 14 days, well in time for the document submission deadline 21 June.
The application for master's programmes at KTH with studies starting in 2022 closed in January. The application for studies in 2023 opens in October. Applying in the official application round is the only way of being admitted to our master's programmes. If have already applied for master's studies in 2022, the admissions result was available on your account at UniversityAdmissions.se on 7 April.
Courses for professional development
KTH offers courses taught in English aimed at professionals in engineering and technology. The application deadline for these courses was 19 April, but some courses may be open for late application. In addition to each course's admission requirements, you need to fulfil the general admission requirements for bachelor's or master's level studies in Sweden.
Only EU/EEA citizens or those with a Swedish resident permit granted on other basis than studies (including a temporary residence permit granted under the EU Temporary Protection Directive) are encouraged to apply. If you are a non-EU/EEA citizen without a Swedish resident permit, there will not be enough time to secure a resident permit before the start of your studies.
