More-than-human knowledges; In and about other animals.

'I am doing my PhD in the Theory of practical knowledge. My project is centred around questions of knowledge; both that of other animals themselves, and about human knowledge production governing decisions concerning other animals. Large part of my empirical research is performed at the Swedish transport administration, where I am researching decisions about other animals and traffic infrastructure.

I am interested in what kinds of knowledge systems animals have, as well as of their epistemic loss, caused by anthropogenic factors. I am also interested in why other animals are rarely viewed by humans as possessing knowledge, and what might change if they were viewed as such. Using posthumanism as a framework, I investigate what non-anthropocentric decision-making and research could look like. I will develop workshops to work speculatively with that question, at the Swedish transport administration.
