Full title: Molecular self-assembly of 2D energy materials for alkali-metal battery application.

The project shall address challenges using self-assembly from water to fabricate new types of battery architectures, where electrodes comprise tens of layered structures of 2D materials. For instance, FESEM depicts the cross-sectional image of 50 bilayers of graphene oxide and polyethylenimine heterostrcuture. Upon further processing, the heterostructure are used for fabricating high energy density flexible alkali-metal-ion battery.
