Short Biography

Afshin Ahmadian received a professorship in Gene Technology in 2016. He is the head of the Experimental Genomics group (part of the Division of Gene Technology) at Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab), Stockholm. Afshin Ahmadian defended his PhD thesis in biotechnology at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in 2001.

Afshin Ahmadian is currently coordinator, lecturer and examiner for the master courses “Genetics and Genomics, BB2470” and “Applied Gene Technology, BB2472” which are given in the first year of the master’s program in Medical Biotechnology at KTH and the second year of the master’s program in Molecular Techniques in Life Science at SciLifeLab, respectively. Afshin Ahmadian has been lecturer and examiner for undergraduate and master courses since 2004.
