Agnes Stenbom, data and AI specialist at Schibsted, will be a Doctoral student in the field of responsible use of data and AI in the Nordic media industry. The Industrial PhD position is located at ITM, Doctor Mattias Wiggberg is project leader and supervisor, and Professor Matti Kaulio is supervisor.

”From an academic perspective, Schibsted is an interesting organization to study. By studying their data-driven operations, we hope to gain insights that can be valuable to the media industry as well as to the academic world”, says Mattias Wiggberg.

The challenges that AI and digitalisation create cannot just be met by one sector, it requires collaboration. The research can generate insights that will change the entire industry. The goal is to identify opportunities and reliable ways for the media industry to continue working with AI and to support sustainable implementation.
