Going to market with health research

Published Feb 02, 2016

In order to make an impact on society, a researcher also must play the role of entrepreneur. In the latest edition of KTH Tech Talks, two experienced innovators in the health field tell their stories.

"In order to support any kind of product or innovation you need solid science, that's the best marketing," says Mats Danielsson, a professor in physics at KTH, about the mingling of entrepreneurship with research in the latest edition of KTH Tech Talks - Health and Innovation Episode.

Danielsson joins Wouter van der Wijngaart, a professor in micro and nanosystems, for a discussion with journalist Håkan Soold focusing  on scientific entrepreneurship.

Both researchers have started life science companies based on research: van der Wijngaart focuses on lab-on-a-chip systems for medical applications; Danielsson's research in medical imaging is the basis for a low radiation mammography system.
