The basic research fields for Dr Rahmat Khodabandeh are:

  • Refrigerants with low Global Warming Potential (GWP)
  • Using liquid cooling for electronic components such as, Thermosyphons, Heat pipes and Sprays
  • Heat Transfer in Mini and Micro channels
  • Natural refrigerants for cooling applications
  • Using Nano-Fluids for Enhancement of Heat Transfer
  • Using low grade heat in Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC)
