Abstract

The wrapped Fukaya category is a powerful invariant of a symplectic Weinstein manifold, which by construction is generated by all its exact Lagrangian submanifolds. We give an introduction to the invariant, and then describe how any object in this category is isomorphic to a twisted complex built from the cocores of the critical (i.e. half-dimensional) handles that arise in any choice of a Weinstein handle decomposition. In other words, the category is generated by the finite set of cocore discs. This is joint work with B. Chantraine, P. Ghiggini, and R. Golovko.
