Annemarie Luger: Herglotz-Nevanlinna functions and generalizations

Abstract: Herglotz-Nevanlinna functions, these are functions that map the upper half-plane into itself, have proven themselves to be very useful in spectral theory. In this talk we are going to give a short overview and focus then on different generalizations and indicate also possible areas of applications for these function classes.
