Ilya Smirnov: Hilbert-Kunz multiplicity of the powers of an ideal

Abstract: Hilbert-Kunz multiplicity is a theory of multiplicity native to positive characteristic. I will compare its properties with the classical theory of multiplicity and will investigate what happens if one computes Hilbert-Kunz multiplicity of consecutive powers. The talk will include a number of open questions.
