Abstract

The linearized constraints operator plays a role in the study of the phase space for Einstein's equations, as well as in developing density and deformation results for the Einstein constraint equations. We revisit the proof of density of harmonic asymptotics, extending to the Einstein-Maxwell constraints, with particular attention to the asymptotic assumptions on the initial data. As time permits, we will also discuss localized deformation results for the constraints with the dominant energy condition (joint with L.-H. Huang) using a modified constraint operator, with applications.
