Abstract
Linear algebra is a branch of mathematics that studies linear spaces and linear maps. After recalling some basic notions, we present a brief history of thedevelopment of linear algebra. Then various applications of linear algebra tochemistry, traffic flows and polynomial interpolation will be given.
