Abstract

We analyse a simple mathematical model for the spread of covid-19 which allows for heterogeneities with respect to age, social activity, susceptibility and infectivity. In the talk we investigate the minimal effect of preventive measures needed to avoid a new epidemic wave of Covid-19. In particular we investigate how it depends on the initial basic reproduction number \(R_0\) and the current immunity level \(\hat i\). Joint work with Frank Ball and Pieter Trapman.
