Abstract:
Smooth group actions of a Lie group G on a manifold give rise to smooth bundles over the classifying space BG. Employing tautological classes, I will show the existence of smooth bundles not arising in this way. I will then report on ongoing work in progress on moduli spaces of manifolds fibered over BG, and models for parametrized cobordism categories.
