Division Researchers on Vattenfall not Being Honest with Risks of Nuclear Power

The TV series "Chernobyl" has given new life to the debate on nuclear power. And after an article with common questions and answers, Vattenfall, who runs two nuclear power plants, is accused of toning down the risks.

In an article, Vattenfall states that it is difficult to calculate the number of deaths after the Chernobyl accident, but notes that 45 people surely died in the accident.

The usual is to set the death rates between 4,000 and 93,000, which died from the indirect consequences of the Chernobyl accident.

Now Vattenfall is criticized by Siegfried Evens, Johan Gärdebo and Achim Klüppelberg from the Division, who believe that Vattenfall's article is biased.
