Reactions with Solids:

For solids, like for aqueous complexes, the logK°-value for the formation reaction is needed. Note that this is the inverse of the solubility product, i.e.: logK_sp = − logK_f

The state of a solid is indicated at the end of the name with a phase indicator: “(s)” solid; “(am)” or “(a)” amorphous; “(ppt)” precipitated; “(cr)” or “(c)” crystalline; etc.

The concentration of a solid is equivalent to that of an aqueous species (mols of solid per litre of aqueous solution).
