About me

Alexandros Korkovelos is a PhD student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. He is currently working on the improvement of the electrification analysis tool OnSSET, in result of a KTH – ABB collaboration. In particular, his research activities investigate how Geographic Information Systems can be used to answer difficult questions in the field of energy access, and support policy and strategy development for electrification. His work also involves educational and capacity building activities organised by KTH dESA, UNDESA and The World Bank. Alexandros holds a degree of Industrial Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace (Greece) and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering (SELECT) from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain) and the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden)
