Ashraf Mohamed El Hassan

Ashraf is a researcher at the Department of Applied Physics, Royal institute of technology KTH. He defended his PhD in Physics at the Department of Physics at Stockholm University in September 2019 under the title:" Multiparty Quantum Communication and fs-laser written Integrated Photonic Circuits" and then joined KTH as a postdoc researcher from April 2020 to March 2022 and then got a promotion to a researcher in April 2022. Ashraf's research is devoted to Applied Physics and Quantum technology, i.e., quantum optics, quantum communication and sensing using photonic fibre systems and integrated optical circuits in borosilicate glass, RKTP, and lithium niobate on an insulator (LNOI) platforms. His work in this area significantly impacts the Topological Photonic insulator "the first realization of Corner states of light in photonic waveguides 1".
