Angelica Marcela Torres Bustos

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics of the School of Engineering Sciences.  I am part of the division of Mathematics of Data an AI, and belong to the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP), working with Kathlén Kohn. 

I finished my PhD in the University of Copenhagen, with Elisenda Feliu as supervisor. My main research interests are applied and computational algebraic geometry, and combinatorics. During my PhD I worked on developing algebraic methods for studying the local dynamics of equilibrium points, in systems of polynomial differential equations arising from chemical reaction network models of biochemical processes.

I got my mathematics degree at National University in Colombia, and my Master's degree at the University of Seville (Spain), where I worked on two-dimensional cobordisms.
