About me

Edgard has a Master of Science in Sustainable Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, with the thesis ‘Bicycle Sharing in Developing Countries: A Proposal towards Sustainable Transportation in Brazilian Median Cities’. He has another master degree from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, with the thesis ‘Cyberong: The NGO’s Use of Internet in Brazil’. He is an electrical engineer graduated at the University of Campinas, UNICAMP, Brazil.

Edgard has a broad professional background, with experience in universities, companies and as entrepreneur. He was a teacher at the Anhembi-Morumbi University (São Paulo, Brazil). He worked as Internet Marketing Executive in two of the main media companies in Brazil, the AOL and the Abril publishing company, as project manager for international clients and consultant to large groups of advertising teams and executives around online advertising. He was also responsible for Ciclovida, an international project about sustainability in the fields of transportation and tourism. Before starting his current PhD, he was a trainee at Volvo IT in Gothenburg, Sweden.
