Elis recieved his Master's degree in Engineering Physics from Uppsala University in 2016 and is a PhD student at the Department of Electric Power and Energy Systems at KTH since April 2017.
The title of the research project is "Minimizing curtailments in power systems with a high share of renewable energy penetration". The aim is to develop methods for power system operation that can help the system operator in the face of increasing uncertainty from renewable power production.
Elis research interests include power system operation, electricity markets, and modelling of the Nordic power system. He has worked with formulations for unit commitment, optimal power flow, hydro power modelling, and large scale models for the nordic power system.
