Tommaso Lanciano

I am a Research Engineer working in the group led by Aristides Gionis. My main area of interest is tackling graph mining problems that can have a direct impact on various domains.

Currently, my research is focused on designing innovative tools and methods to raise awareness among social media users about polarization.

I am in the process of completing my Ph.D. in Data Science at Sapienza University, where I have been under the guidance of Francesco Bonchi (CENTAI Institute). Prior to that, I obtained a M.Sc. in Data Science at Sapienza University, where I successfully defended my thesis titled "Algorithms and Applications for Multilayer Networks: Frequent and Contrast Subgraphs". My thesis was supervised by Aris Anagnostopoulos (Sapienza University) and Francesco Bonchi (CENTAI Institute).
