About me

My name is Luck Peerlings and I perform experimental investigations on area-acoustic phenomena. My roots lie in the Netherlands and in 2012 I moved to Stockholm, Sweden to start my graduate studies.

In 2011 I graduated at the Technical University of Eindhoven. During my studies I learned about the fascinating world of combustion. My first hands on experience was the experimental investigation of diffusive flames rising in a tube. Thereafter I went to Graz in Austria for an internship which revolved around the chemical characterization of biomass. When I came back to Eindhoven I started my master's project on the experimental investigation of the electrical aspect of combustion in combination of the thermo-acoustic response of flames.

During the graduation, my interest got sparked for thermo-acoustic phenomena in combustion and I applied to the PhD position at the KTH within the TANGO project. The TANGO project tries to create more understanding of thermo-acoustic instabilities in combustors, more information can be found in the link the right hand side.

My part within the project is to experimentally investigate aero-acoustic phenomena in a model dump combustor.
